Cherish The Arts

I hope you will come see me:
EAST LANSING — The juried “Cherish the Arts” Fine Art Sale focusing on Michigan artists will be held Friday, Nov. 30 and Saturday, Dec. 1 at All Saints Episcopal Church, 800 Abbot Road.

Show hours are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday. Admission is free.

Participating artists and their media are the following:
Honora Bird - Raku Ceramics
Golden Raven Studio - Dyed Silk
Nell Corkin - 1:144 Miniatures
James Davis - Silver Jewelry
Doug DeLind - Clay Sculpture
Jim Ferguson - Watercolor
Kalli Halpern - Colored Pencil
Terry Junger - Mixed Media
Anne O'Connor - Fused Glass
Jim Reinert - Pottery
Sheri TenEyck - Photography & Feather Decoration
Toby TenEyck - Acrylic Painting & Books
Douglas Thayer - Artistic Blacksmith
Pamela Timmons - Pottery
Jim Wolonsky - Wood & Metal
Jeff Wright - Blown Glass.

For the two years following the closing of East Lansing’s Trillium Gallery in 2010, a small group of artist friends who had been associated with the gallery held a holiday art sale in the Bailey Neighborhood Pump House in East Lansing.

With more artists participating this year, a larger venue was needed, so All Saints Episcopal Church, across from the Hannah Center, was chosen.

It is familiar to area people as the location of the semi-annual Potters Guild shows.

Works will be offered for sale in a wide variety of media and in every price range.

Cash and checks are accepted, and most artists will accept credit cards

This past month I opened my very own brick and mortar retail space and studio! I am now a part of the Keller's Plaza Artisan's Group in Williamston, Michigan. Come visit me at:

107 South Putnam Street Williamston, MI, 48895.

Come on in the door by Uncommon Goodies Candy Shop, and head upstairs where you will find me in Suite 210.

In addition to having my own retail space, I have my very own website up and running, www.GoldenRavenStudio.com.

And now to leave you with teasers of my new stock, Silk Chiffon Bon-Bons:

A Long Time....

The show season is swinging once again and I am off and running.
I have made several new pieces in the past weeks and will have shows to post soon.
In the mean while please enjoy some eye-candy:

A few of my scarves blowing in the wind.

A print by Susan Seddon Boulet, one of my favorite painters, on a bandanna in colors inspired by the image.

Some of the new colors, up close and personal.

I call this combination Iris Garden.

And finally, the room mates cat found a basket with some of my personal scarves in it, I think she likes it.  I guess that officially makes them Kitty Approved.

Stay tuned for more updates.
